Best Bone Choices (Healthiest Options)
Beef knuckle bones for collagen and joint repair
Beef joint bones (knees, feet) for strong gelatin structure
A small amount of marrow bones for fat-soluble nutrients
Or: whole organic chicken carcass plus chicken feet for a lighter, highly digestible broth
Always prioritize organic, pasture-raised sources. Bones concentrate minerals and whatever else the animal was exposed to.
No-Roast Bone Broth Recipe (Clean & Therapeutic)
Ingredients:
1.5–2 kg mixed bones
Cold filtered water, enough to fully cover bones
2 tablespoons raw apple cider vinegar
2 onions, halved (skin on if organic)
1 celery stick
2 carrots
2–3 garlic cloves (optional)
2 cinnamon sticks
3 bay leaves
1 tbsp 7 spices
A few whole peppercorns
Sea salt added at the end only
Method:
Place bones in a large pot or slow cooker and cover completely with cold filtered water.
Add apple cider vinegar and let sit 30–60 minutes before heating to support mineral extraction.
Slowly bring to a very gentle simmer. Avoid boiling. Skim any foam that rises.
Once simmering, add vegetables, cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, garlic, and peppercorns.
Maintain the lowest possible simmer:
Beef bones: 18–24 hours
Chicken bones: 8–12 hoursAdd water as needed to keep bones submerged.
Turn off heat, strain, and add sea salt to taste after cooking.
Cool quickly and refrigerate.
Why These Additions Work Biologically
Cinnamon sticks support circulation, blood sugar balance, and microbial control while adding warmth without sweetness.
Bay leaves enhance mineral assimilation and digestive enzyme activity.
Extra onion increases quercetin and sulfur compounds for immune and liver support.
Reduced celery keeps sodium moderate and flavor clean.
What You’re Looking For
Clear, lightly golden broth
Neutral, warming aroma
Firm gel when cold (a sign of intact collagen)
Use
Drink plain, add to soups, or sip warm in the morning with a pinch of salt. This version is especially supportive for gut repair, immune resilience, joint health, and nervous system calming.
This is bone broth as biological nourishment, not just a kitchen recipe.
